december 2004 . 11:50 pm PT Now I'm sure that's fascinating enough for today's update. I know, it's only 99 cents worth. TOO BAD.

We hiked to "The Dish." It's a radiotelescope (whatever that means) on the edge of the Stanford campus. There are great paved trails through cow pastures to the dish and beyond. Simply for recreation. I support that.
Wendy rented us a log cabin in Big Sur over Halloween, and we all enjoyed ice cold showers, hiking, trail mix, photo shoots, and ridicule by the Big Sur locals. We showed 'em our big city sass.
John took some pictures of seagulls with my camera. That's why they look so good.
The San Francisco Zoo is awesome. Lemurs? That lemur exhibit RULES. So does the African Safari, but you expect that to be great, what with all the giraffes and shit. If you time your visit just right, you can see the big cats tear apart bloody meat. There's also a farmyard/petting zoo. Where the goats run wild!
Then there was turkey. And sweet potatoes.
And now? Now we shop. Sneak into office parties featuring huge amounts of alcohol. And count down the hours until New Year's Eve in Chicago, the very LAST ever GUIDED BY VOICES show. Holy shit. It's going to be something.
