july 2004 . 09:50 pm PT We're also shopping for a new apartment. It's hard work. I'd much rather, say, lay in bed and read a book. Is that too much to ask? Speaking of, I finished "Random Family" last week; it's the true story of two Bronx-ghetto families over an 11-year period. Absolutely mesmerizing. It clearly showcases the debilitating cycle of poverty. You're born poor, you have 5 poor babies, you deal drugs to stop being poor, you go to jail. Next thing you know, your children's children are in jail and poor. Yes, it is fun to hang out with me. Need proof? Look, I'll force you to pose with huge wax kids. It doesn't get better than that.

Aren't you glad we're free? We are so free. Free free free. Can you believe there is pound cake covered in JELL-O under that strawberry flag? I'm not joking. I was in Maryland/Delaware/D.C. last week, in case you were wondering. I did things like watch minor league baseball with my family,
visit Bethany Beach, and eat late-night chili in Washington, D.C.
There's definitely more to say and show about all of that. But not right now. I also saw my first-ever opera performance (oh boy do the people dress up for that opera shit), ate garlic fries (*grabs stomach and moans*), and watched "Napoleon Dynamite" (it's laugh-out-loud funny and highly unusual, but so not the be-all-end-all of indie comedy). And on that note.
